Lady Rose is now “officially” titled Lady and tags her Royal Court

Posted by Lady Rose on June 29, 2007

By now you all know of my “odd” sense of humor and tendency to be silly. I think today I reached a new height!  I happened to find this ebay auction to own a small piece of land (with salmon and fishing rights too!) that entitles you to be called “Lord or Lady” - well I just HAD to have this little piece of land in the Scottish Highlands. I will be receiving all the paperwork soon, in the meantime take a look at where my spacious one square foot lovely estate is located (in Lochaber, the heart of the Highlands of Scotland).

I am in the process of assembling my Royal Court (fellow bloggers and online friends who have touched my heart, motivated and inspired me to be the best I can be and achieve my goals).  Here is my list so far:

Court Jester: Brahnamin (Juggling Cats)

Royal Cook: Chef Tom (Chef Tom Cooks)

Ladies in Waiting:
Mama Kelly (my best friend in real life for almost 20 yrs and co-author of our blog Incredible Shrinking Ladies), Crabby (Cranky Fitness),  Lizzie (Fat Lady Singz, and her art work will look divine on the castle walls), the Big Fat Deal team (mo pie, anne, and weetabix),  Anna and Heather (Middle Age Shed), and Catherine (Be the change you want to see in yourself)

Knights of the Round Table
Alan (My Big Waist), Tommy LeDree (Get Inspired), Brian (Lose Weight With Me), Total Transformation, and Jay (My Pet Fat)

Royal Band of Merry MenFatbloggers.net (Rick, John, Doug, Pete, Heath, Brian, Joel, Paul, Tony)

Consider yourself tagged lords and ladies - if you wish (totally optional), post about who your royal court would be, who has inspired and motivated you to be the best you can be?  You can leave a comment here or a post on your blog if you wish (I’ll link the post here if you let me know.)

Hope everyone has a happy, healthy, and fun day, Lady Rose (refusing to be a grown up all the time)

Everyone -  What have you done that is silly? What makes you happy? Who has inspired you?  I’d love  to hear about what makes you smile and brightens your day.

That is the coolest thing I have ever seen… Very nice!

  8. Crabby McSlacker Says:

So now you are truly “Lady Rose!”

What a fun thing to do and thank you so much for sharing it with us! So when are we all going fishing on “your” river?

I am quite proud to be a Lady in Waiting in your Royal Court. I’m good actually very good at Waiting, as long as it’s the sort of Waiting where one sits around doing nothing but maybe flipping through magazines. (But if it’s the chore-like Waiting on People that requires one to be useful–I’m afraid I’m not so good at that kind!).

  9. Lady Rose Says:

Hi Skywindows! Great to see you stop by. **hugs**

Crabby - I would NEVER even think to have you “wait” on someone — royal ladies in waiting have servants to bring them refreshments and jesters to keep them amused.

  10. Roly Poly Man Says:

Let me be among the first to congratulate you and to call you by your right royal title of LADY ROSE! You truly are a Lady in every sense of the word, and your title is apt recognition of the regal nature that flows in your spirit and your heart!

  11. Lady Rose Says:

***royally blushes*** aaaah Roly Poly you are making me blush. Lady Rose

I told my husband last night as soon as I get some extra money to “play” with I am buying my land. I love this idea

  13. mo pie Says:

I am honored! Does that mean we can all cram ourselves into the one square foot and have a royal picnic?

  14. Lady Rose Says:

hehehe we’d have to have a “small” picnic so we all fit. I like the idea of fishing for salmon - it’s one of my favorites! Lady Rose

  15. mirtika Says:

One of the publishers of a book-related magazine some years ago purchased a property (not a small piece, all of it) that entitled her to be called “Lady of __”. I thought it was cool. If I had the moolah, I’d buy one. Then instead of a fake Princess, I could be a literary Lady of …dieting leisure.

What silly thing makes me happy? Well, I just ordered an original piece of zombie art. Does that count? :D

Hi Lady Rose, thanks for the visit and comment. I do need support and just love your site. I don’t have a working computer for now, but will be around one, about once a month. Congratulations on that big loss you have accomplished and I just know you will reach your goal. Have a great forth of July. Bless you.

  17. Laura Says:

Ha! I love it. Now I DO want to become an official princess!

  18. Jay Says:

I am so honored to be one of your Knights Lady Rose. As far as what have I done that many might consider silly, well, let’s see I a still fat guy who’s still selling fat all over the world as I continue to try to lose some more of my own.

What makes me happy, Kim, Jennifer, Matt and Ripley [our chocolate lab].

What makes me smile… your wonderful sense of humor.

What else… I can’t “weight” to post a little “tale” about your recent acquisition.

  19. Anna Farmery Says:

OOOOHHHH I feel all humble - a member of the Royal Court, for someone from the UK this is very special!

I will of course serve my diet pulpit with honour, integrity and of course with a passion to change my body.

When is the formal ceremony…are we having a garden party at your new abode??

  20. Lady Rose Says:

Thanks every one for stopping by. I have placed my royal court in a special place of honor (see link category in the right column). Hazzah! Lady Rose

  22. EmperorAnton Says:

Thanks for tagging Lizzie, now I need to be part of her court. The name of EmperorAnton seems appropriate, even though it was inspired by the Emperor from Star Wars. I would not want to be part of an evil court.
